INDUSTRY.co.id - Balikpapan - As operator in the Working Area of Mahakam as of January 1, 2018, PT Pertamina Hulu Mahakam (PHM) conducts shipment of crude oil to domestic buyers of PT Pertamina (Persero) Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) from Senipah Terminal, part of Senipah Peciko South Mahakam Square (SPS), which is the main terminal for crude oil and condensate lifting in oil and gas blocks.
Initial shipment is Handil Mix Crude with volume reaching 150.000 barrel, using tanker owned by PT Pertamina (Persero) MT Gede with the aim of Pertamina Refinery Unit of Balikpapan (Refinery Unit V).
"The shipment of crude oil to the domestic buyers of PT Pertamina (Persero) ISC shows that managing the Mahakam Work Area from Total E & P Indonesie to PHM runs smoothly," PJs General Manager of PHM, John Anis said in a press release this week.
He added that this shipment is also a form of support for the fulfillment of domestic energy needs. "PHM will send all crude oil and condensate production to domestic buyers, PT Pertamina ISC," he added.
The distribution of crude oil and condensate from Senipah Terminal to MT Gede tanker is conducted using Single Buoy Mooring facility (located about 11 km from the beach) operated by PT PHM itself.
Handil Mix Crude (from Handil Square) is one of two types of crude oil produced directly by PHM, the other being Bekapai Crude Oil produced from Bekapai Field.
But PHM indirectly also produces the Crude Oil Badak which is a unitization product of the Badak field operated by Vico Indonesia.
In addition to crude oil, PHM also produces condensate, namely: Senipah Condensate and Bontang Return Condensate. Especially for Bontang Return Condensate and Badak Crude Oil shipments are implemented from Santan Terminal operated by Chevron Indonesia.
In accordance with the Work Program and Budget (WP & B) 2018 for the Working Area of Mahakam, it is targeted to produce 42,000 barrels of crude oil and condensate per day and will be dilifed through 68 ships from Senipah Terminal, and nine shipments from Terminal Santan.
All crude and condensate production from WK Mahakam will be allocated to domestic refineries owned by PT Pertamina (Persero) such as RU V Balikpapan, RU IV Cilacap, while for Bontang Return Condensate is shipped to TPPI Tuban refinery.
