Government is Advised to Publish PP Related to Engineering Act

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The government is advised to accelerate the issuance of Government Regulation (PP) which is a follow up of the Engineering Decree No. 11/2014. The PP was issued so that events such as those occurring at the Indonesia Stock Exchange Building (IDX) yesterday could be avoided and responded to by various measurable steps.

"The government regulation is expected to be a positive law that provides protection for the community as a party that utilizes engineering services as well as the profession of engineers," said Heru Dewanto, Vice Chairman of the Indonesian Engineers Association (PII) in Jakarta, Tuesday (16/1 / 2018).

Heru confirmed that it is related to the PII plan that will investigate and conduct construction analysis on the collapse of the building BEI Building on Monday (15/01/2018).

In addition to the incident at BEI Building, Heru, PII will also investigate and conduct a similar construction analysis on the collapse of girder (beam concrete) Toll Road Depok-Antasari Lane.

Heru added that the results of the investigation and analysis will be proposed to improve and tighten the construction activities of buildings at all stages, covering all aspects of the building, from design, construction to utilization. (Abraham Sihombing)
