Indonesia Ready to Hold International Dominie Meeting

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Indonesia declares its readiness to organize international Dominie meetings to help build peace on an international level, particularly the country of Afghanistan.
"Indonesia is ready to host my suggestion, the meeting is inclusive," President Joko Widodo said in his meeting with Afghan Peace Council Chairman Karim Khalili at Haram Sarai Palace (Wisma Negara), Kabul, Afghanistan, on Monday (29/1/2018)
According to the President, the follow-up of the planned clerical meeting will be held in Jakarta.
The meeting became one of Indonesia's efforts in peace building for Afghanistan.
The president started his conversation with Khalili by expressing deep feelings of sorrow over the tragedy that took place in Kabul some time later that claimed dozens of lives.
"I pray that my family and friends left behind will be given the endurance that this will not fade our spirits but will only strengthen the will to create peace," the president said.
The Head of State is also grateful for the visit made by the Chairman of the Peace Council of Afghanistan and the delegation to Jakarta some time ago.
Through his return visit, President Jokowi intends to strengthen Indonesia's commitment in helping the peace efforts in Afghanistan.
"A visit to Kabul I will use to confirm Indonesia's commitment to help peace building in Afghanistan as requested by the Afghan President," the President said.
In addition, the Indonesian government will also build a health clinic at the Indonesian Islamic Center (IIC) complex in Kabul that will begin construction in the spring of 2018 complementing the As-Salam Mosque that has been used by the community. (Ant)
