INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - President Director of PT Hyundai Mobil Indonesia (HMI) Mukiat Sutikno said, reduced Premium in various regions of the country, is caused by the automotive industry recommendations to motor vehicle users.

Because the automotive engines today are adapted to more qualified fuel.

"We recommend the use of Pertamax or at least Pertalite, I think other automotive industries also, including motorcycles," said Mukiat in Jakarta, Wednesday (21/2/2018).

According to him, because the suggestion that many users of motor vehicles that switch from Premium to Pertalite or Pertamax, so that the impact of consumption of Premium also declined sharply than ever before.

Thus, if in the field is no longer found a lot of Premium such as in North Sumatra, Riau, and Surabaya, it is in accordance with market demand, not because of a reduction in supply, as members of the House said some time ago.

"It's also because people's awareness that the use of high octane fuel will have a good impact both on vehicle engines and the environment," he continued.

The automotive industry's suggestion is also in line with the Government's policy, because in September 2018, the Government will apply Euro-4, which is indeed applicable if using high RON fuel.

According to Mukiat, the application of Euro-4 has become a necessity. Especially compared to other countries, Indonesia including late. Many other countries have applied Euro-5, and even Singapore has entered Euro-6.

"That's the end of good for all of us, because when the number of vehicles more and more, of course if the fuel is not maintained, will have an adverse impact on the environment," he said.
