INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta, PT Ikitech Precision Grinding a special manufacturing company of metal cutting tools subsidiary of PT Ikimura Group shows the progress of business is quite good in each year.
Ikitech Precision Grinding Company was established in 2005, producing special custom cutting tools with original design from engineering team Ikitech Precision Grinding itself to be able to result in increased achievement of effectiveness and productivity for all customers.
Abigael Jane as Deputy Director of PT Ikimura Group said the demand for our products has increased significantly since 2009. This is in line with the increasing demand of automotive in the country.
"At Machining Mandiri Pratama and Multi Precision Utama, Ikimura Group's other subsidiaries are focusing their efforts towards providing machining services, sales of industrial machinery support tools and component manufacturing on motor vehicles and electronic appliances," Abigael told INDUSTRY.co .id at Batavia Tower, Jakarta, Tuesday (6/3/2018).
He added that the biggest cause of the increase in the automotive and electronic industries in Indonesia is due to the increasing confidence of foreign investors to Indonesia which recently showed stability in politics and economy.
Ikimura Group is currently focusing on the automotive industry market that requires cutting tools with special designs ranging from size, dimensions, volume and so on.
"This market segment has not been much in Indonesia, due to the lack of skilled labor and the need for sophisticated industrial machinery, so far most of the customers import, but the price is very expensive and the delivery can be more than three months, this is what makes us challenged to develop this business with a focus to work on this market segment, "he explained.
Located in Jababeka Industrial Estate, PT Ikitech's cutting tools factory, stands on an area of 1800 square meters and the building area reaches 800 square meters, with total workforce reaching 100 people.
On the same occasion, General Manager of PT Ikimura Group Jonathan Abas said, our machine facility is one of the best in Indonesia.
"Approximately 25 machines total, all from Europe with total investment reached more than Rp200 billion," said Jonathan.
Jonathan is optimistic that future business growth will improve. According to him, still the lack of competitors in the cutting tools industry with special designs make the company more confident in developing the business going forward.
"In the cutting tools industry with special design competitors are still minimal, if sales are many," he added.
Jonathan hopes the political year can be a momentum for the company to expand its business even more. "Growth is up and down, but we are optimistic that 40% growth will be achieved by 2018," he said.
