INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- Pulo Gebang Terminal will be the Public Service Agency (BLU) for optimal management and attract many people to travel by bus, especially out of town through the terminal.
"Pulogebang is the challenge, the new governor has set BLU, now if we wait for BLU to manage it, I believe it will be optimal," said Head of Jakarta Transportation Management Agency (BPTJ) Bambang Prihantono in Hearing Meeting (RDP) with Commission V of the House of Representatives at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Thursday (8/3/2018)
He said that the management is still in the local government, so BPTJ only operates the terminal that becomes the hub.
"Because it is still the local government is not our authority, our interest is how to operate Pulogebang to be optimal because the investment is big enough, we pushed there, we have responsibility for that," he said.
He said that when it becomes BLU, the management of Pulogebang Terminal is no longer in Regent Government and can be optimized because of the pattern of financial management with a more flexible and fast rotation.
"I am coordinating with the local government for the establishment of this BLU, it should be as soon as it is too late because later the shadow terminal will continue," he said.
Later, Pulo Gebang Terminal will also be equipped with an online ticket purchase (e-ticketing) facility to facilitate passengers such as the direction of Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi.
Until now, Pulo Gebang Terminal is still fairly quiet because it is considered too far from the city center despite being inaugurated since June 23 last year.
Observer Transportation Soegijapranata University of Semarang Djoko Setijowarno rate Pulogebang Terminal less professionally managed.
He mentioned starting from the cleanliness of the toilet, the presence of officers who are very few and minimal information.
"It is very much to be fixed at Pulo Gebang Terminal, it is still very necessary to study with the terminal in neighboring countries, such as Pudu Raya Terminal in Kuala Lumpur, if you want to make the terminal like the airport," he said.
Djoko said to draw the attention of the community to use Pulo Gebang Terminal, then the service must first be improved. (Ant)
