Ministry of ESDM-BPS Sign Cooperation of Supply and Data Processing

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Ignatius Jonan and Head of the Central Bureau of Statistics, Suhariyanto signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (KESDM) and Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) on Provision, Utilization, Development of Data and Information of Statistic of EMR Field at Secretariat General Building, Ministry of ESDM, Jakarta, Friday (16/3/2018).
"Utilization of data and statistical information owned by both institutions can be utilized maximally, so as to increase the value added data and useful in making decisions for the social economy of the nation," wrote an official statement on the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources page. The other important thing is how this MoU can make the mechanism of handover of zero dollars non-paid data as long as to support the policy and not for commercialization.
In addition, the implementation of this MoU should also include the development of human resources in both statistical and ESDM fields through knowledge sharing and sharing experience.
The scope of cooperation includes the provision of data and / or statistical information related to energy and mineral resources through planning, data collection, processing, analysis and / or presentation.
Then, the utilization of data and / or statistical information relating to the field of energy and mineral resources for data and / or information already available. Development of information systems and statistical methodology related to the field of energy and mineral resources.
Development of human resources in the field of statistics as well as the field of energy and mineral resources; Dissemination of statistical information as well as fields of energy and mineral resources and other cooperation relating to the implementation of the duties of the parties.
In terms of BPS, this cooperation is expected to be a follow up in order to synergize the data both in the Ministry of ESDM and those in BPS. To date, the ESDM Ministry has provided much of the data required by BPS, in particular for the fulfillment of mining and energy statistics. These data are indispensable in calculating GDP, manufacturing industry production, and so on
Data required by EMR sector from BPS include data of household energy consumption, industry, and transportation per region, needed for energy conservation calculation and Regional General Plan of Energy (RUED), realization data and projection of national and provincial GRDP for preparation of Plan General National Research or RUPTL in the future, demographic and forestry spatial data to support the calculation of potential energy resources, especially solar power, data added value GDP other sectors to calculate the projected needs and supply of energy and potential other statistical data can be added value added.
Further implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and BPS shall be governed by a separate Joint Agreement and / or other legal document under the PARTY'S agreement. And both parties do monitoring and evaluation on the implementation in accordance with the scope of memorandum of understanding. This memorandum of understanding is valid for 5 (five) years from the date of signature.
