INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta, PT Pertamina (Persero) once again raised the price of Pertalite Fuel (BBM). One consideration is the rise in raw material prices for 90 octane fuel.

This was conveyed by Vice President of Corporate Communications Pertamina Adiatma Sardjito in Jakarta, Saturday (24/3/2018).

"The price of Pertalite rose Rp200 per liter per day on Saturday (24/3/2018), because raw material prices rose above US $ 60 per barrel, he said.

According to him, the policy of raising the price of Pertalite has also been notified to the Government. However, to raise the price of Pertalite it does not need permission from the government and announce it.

This refers to the Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 191 of 2014, Pertalite is General Fuel (BBU).

On the basis of the law, the price of Pertalite was decided by the business entity. So Pertamina can at any time raise and lower prices. There is a legal basis that is referring to Presidential Regulation 191 of 2014, he said.

However, with the price increase it does not mean the price of Pertalite across Indonesia is the same. The difference is because the amount of Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax (PBBKB) in each region is not the same.
