INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The Local Government is asked to play an active role in maintaining price stability and the availability of basic commodities in their respective areas, especially before the holy month of Ramadan in May 2018.
"The cooperation with the local government is able to reduce the price fluctuation, I am really monitored for availability and price control," said Trade Minister Enggartiasto Lukita Sunday (25/3/2018) quoted from Antara.
Enggartiasto added, in the near future it immediately invites business actors and stakeholders to prepare measures to anticipate a spike in the price of basic materials before the entrance of Ramadan.
In addition, further Enggartiasto, provincial and regency / municipal governments are expected to increase the number of registered distributors in their area through the Sign of Business Entity of Distribution of Basic Goods (TDPUD), and encourage the reporting of stock by registered distributor according to the regulation of Permendag 20/2017.
Then, the local government record the stock and consumption in each region to determine the condition of surplus or deficit of goods of basic needs.
The recording form will be integrated in the SIPAP application that is performed to ensure the recording is offline.
Provincial and district / municipal governments are also required to conduct laboratory tests of rice (medium and premium) circulating in the market based on Permendag 57/2017 and report the results to the Ministry of Trade cq Directorate General of Domestic Trade.
"This is done to ensure the quality of rice sold in the market in meeting the criteria in accordance with Permendag 57/2017, while also supporting the improvement of data quality monitored by SP2KP contributors," said Enggartiasto again.
