INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Recently Kalimantan is often referred to in the national news. The news is related to the issue of transfer of the capital of the Republic of Indonesia. The discourse of the transfer of capital into a national issue that is very busy discussed. The issue of the transfer of the capital is certainly not new as the historian JJ Rijal pointed the issue of transferring the capital of the country from Jakarta to Palangkaraya is not new and until the time of the new President Joko Widodo's leadership discourse.
Although the proof of seriousness has been demonstrated by the government, through the Minister of National Development Planning or the Head of Bappenas Bambang Brodjonegoro admitted that he has discussed the detailed plan of the transfer of this capital with the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo at the State Palace on Monday (3/7/2017).
In his last talks with the President, Bambang said the study on the removal of the capital, including the funding scheme, will be completed this year. "So, in 2018 or 2019, there are activities related to the transfer of central government administration," said Bambang, at Bappenas office, Menteng, Central Jakarta (kompas.com).
The removal of the capital was an issue that was also heard during the previous administration. At the time of the late President Soeharto was also willing to wish that the capital of the country was moved from Jakarta to Jonggol, West Java. The region was chosen because it is considered the most realistic to place a central government not far from the capital. The distance is only 40 km from Jakarta. The transfer of the capital is back to the era of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) in October 2010 ago.
At that time, SBY offered three options to overcome traffic jam in Jakarta Capital City. First is to maintain Jakarta as the capital and central government with a total improvement. Secondly, Jakarta remains the capital, but the central government is moved to other areas. As well as the third or final option, new capital is built, such as Canberra (Australia) and Ankara (Turkey).
The issue of the transfer of capital is also discussed by Bandung Institute of Technology's lecturer, Krishna Nur Pribadi, said the plan is very reasonable considering that Kalimantan is outside the quake area, and the population is still small, but the land is still very wide.
The population of Borneo that is still small compared to its size, according to Krishna, makes the land price low, so it is very likely to continue to be developed and attract people to come. One of the bustling is the city of Palangkaraya, although the government says it still considers a number of urban options, which according to the Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning, Sofyan Djalil, should be the "most suitable and good".
Contribution Kalimantan
I want to try to remind the public that Kalimantan in this case South Kalimantan has also written its gold ink in the process of history, and contributed in the struggle of this nation. Borneo has also established its nationalism for the republic. South Kalimantan through Brig. Hasan Basri has participated in the process of history and unity of this nation. The participation of Kalimantan in the history of this nation can be seen as follows.
Based on the results of the second PPKI session on 19 August 1945, at the beginning of the establishment of an Indonesian territory consisting of eight provinces, we know with Kalimantan with Ir. Pangeran Mohammad Nor as his governor was one of the early eight provinces. However, based on the agreement Linggarjati, Kalimantan was forced not recognized by the central government as part of RI.
As stated in the headline of Banjarmasin Post last year, South Kalimantan also has a very decisive history of the nation's journey in freeing itself from the invaders. That is the Proclamation of Kalimantan or often referred to as the Proclamation of the Governor of the Army ALRI Division IV Defense Kalimantan. On May 17, 1949, in Niih, Loksado Sub-district, Hulu Sungai Selatan District, P Arya alias Munir read the statement of South Kalimantan people's attitude to be part of the Indonesian republic, which was already proclaimed by President Soekarno and Vice President Mohammad Hatta.
The sound of the Proclamation is, PROKLAMASI. Merdeka: We hereby Indonesians in South Kalimantan, proclaimed the establishment of the Governor of the Armed Forces of ALRI encompassing the whole of South Kalimantan as part of the Republic of Indonesia, to fulfill the contents of the Proclamation of 17 August 1945 signed by President Soekarno and Vice President Mohammad Hatta. The things concerned with the transfer of power will be preserved and if necessary fight for the last drop of blood. Stay Independent!
The form of South Kalimantan's resistance against the Dutch attempt to destroy unity in Indonesia was done by proclamation of the loyalty of the people of South Kalimantan to RI. Proclamation May 17, 1949 IV division ALRI is a proclamation which states Kalimantan (South) loves this country (Indonesia) and states that Kalimantan is an integral part of the Republic of Indonesia. This proclamation is a reality that the people of South Kalimantan have contributed a lot to the integration process of this nation and state.
It is very unfortunate (I personally) that this national process of national nuance seems to have escaped the nation's history. On 17 May coincided with the proclamation of South Kalimantan's loyalty to RI. This proclamation reads; Merdeka, with which we Indonesians in South Kalimantan, proclaimed the establishment of the governor of the army of ALRI enclosed the entire area of South Kalimantan to be part of the Republic of Indonesia, to fulfill the contents of the proclamation of August 17, 1945 signed by President Soekarno and Vice President Mohammad Hatta. Matters concerned with the transfer of power will be preserved and if necessary fight for until the last drop of blood.
As a resident of South Kalimantan, it is certainly not forgotten that the proclamation is an important event occurring at the local level, but has an influence on Indonesia's national history. Why I say so, this cannot be separated from the historical process resulting from the agreement Linggarjati which states that our territory is not included in the RI, except Sumatra, Java and Madura. But the nationalism of the people of South Kalimantan (urang banua) actually shows us to be an integral part of RI.
This event is a form of nationalism banua people led Brigadier figure. Hasan Basri who was awarded the title of National Hero through the Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia No. 110 / TK Year 2001, dated 3 November 2001.
He carried out his guerrilla resistance on the earth of Lambung Mangkurat and made the Dutch difficulty in controlling Kalimantan. Banjua urangi resistance was very burdensome Dutch colonial government at that time.
Finally on this good occasion, hopefully with the issue of the transfer of the capital, it is also appropriate that the local history that participates in the process of Indonesian nationalism is gaining attention and can be one of the pieces of history of this nation who are concerned with the central government.
