2018 First Quarter, Honda City Car Sales Rise 52 Percent

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Throughout the first three months of 2018, sales of City Car Honda products increased 52% over the same period last year.
From January to March 2018, Honda Brio RS and Honda Brio Satya collected sales of 16,051 units, an increase compared to the first quarter of 2017 which recorded 10,552 units.
Jonfis Fandy, Marketing and After Sales Service Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor said LCGC and City Car markets continue to be one of the largest segments in Indonesia's automotive market in the first quarter of this year.
"Both of our products in this segment are still able to contribute greatly to Honda's sales. With the conducive market conditions to date, we believe we can maintain positive sales this year," he said through an official statement received INDUSTRY.co.id, Wednesday (4/4/2018).
In each segment, Honda Brio RS recorded sales of 3,878 units in the first quarter of 2018, 75% higher than the same period last year.
While Honda Brio Satya sold 12,173 units in the first quarter of this year, up 46% over the same period in the previous year.
Overall, both models of Honda Brio accounted for 44% of all Honda sales during the first three months of this year, which reached 36,258 units.
In addition to these two models, products such as Honda HR-V, Honda Mobilio and Honda Jazz also contributed significant sales of Honda this year.
Throughout 2018, Honda HR-V 1.5L sold 6,904 units and Honda HR-V 1.8L sold 1,248 units. Meanwhile, Honda Mobilio sold 4,855 units, while the Honda Jazz sold 2,776 units.
Honda CR-V sold 1900 units, followed by Honda Civic Hatchback as much as 858 units and Honda Civic sedan as much as 639 units.
Honda BR-V booked sales of 604 units, Honda City 318 units, followed by three premium models Honda, Honda Odyssey as much as 70 units, Honda Accord as many as 28 units and Honda Civic Type R of 7 units.
