INDUSTRY.co.id - Banyuwangi- Serap Gabah Program (Sergab) -46 held by PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk and PT Pertani (Persero) in East Java Province absorbed about 700 tons of farmers' grain in less than a month.
Director of Small Business and BNI Network Catur Budi Harto at the inauguration of Sergab46 BNI program in Banyuwangi district, Friday explained that the program launched to stabilize the selling price of paddy at the farm level has been held in seven districts in East Java, namely in Mojokerto, Madiun, Pasuruan, Jember, Nganjuk, Mojokerto and Banyuwangi.
Since Sergab46 was held on March 20, 2018, BNI and other supporting SOEs have absorbed 210 tons of grain in Madiun from a 30 hectare paddy field (ha); then in Mojokerto as many as 176 tons of grain from 19.8 ha of rice fields; continued in Pasuruan with the purchase of 175 tons of grain from 25 ha of harvested fields.
Sergab46 also absorbs 105 tons of grain in Jombang from 15 ha of rice fields; then 24 tons of grain in Kediri from 4 ha of paddy field; and 9 tons of unhusked rice in Banyuwangi from an area of 1.3 ha (not including the land that started harvesting today).
Catur Budi Harto mentioned that the potential of harvest land in Banyuwangi reaches 500 ha, of which 4 ha are harvested simultaneously with the visit of Minister of SOE on Friday in Pondok Nongko Village.
The rice field in Pondok Nongko village is managed jointly by about 50 farmers who are members of Sumber Kedawung Farmer Group. Farmers in the area have received KUR BNI, which averages Rp 9 million per ha of rice fields. After the farmers' harvest is absorbed by the state-owned food companies, in this case Pertani, the Farmer regains the KUR facility for the next planting season and the process will continue.
"The harvest area in Pondok Nongko Village is a good example of agricultural land, shown by the existence of adequate technical irrigation so that they can harvest three times a year. The Taninyapun group is adaptive to new technology, and the plant uses IR64 Specifically resistant to brown plant hopper, "he explained to media crews in Banyuwangi.
Currently, the number of Farmers Cards that have been distributed to farmers BNI in East Java reached 870,628 cards. Farmer Card serves as a monitoring tool that can show the location of harvest in order to absorb grain. Farmers' cards are also a tool for awarding KUR for the next planting season.
According to Catur, the absorption of grain at the farmer level by this state-owned company uses market price. Payment system is done by crediting directly to farmer's account in accordance with grain quality.
SOEs Food will do the processing of grain into rice which is then sold to the market. This will shorten the chain that has been running since the first that involves the middleman and penebas, so that the impact farmers will receive greater crop income and prosperity.
"Through this program, SOEs go directly to absorb farmers' grain, in an effort to get farmers to get good grain prices so that farmers can get enough income and can enjoy the results so that in the end it can give welfare for farmers and their families," said Minister of SOE Rini M Soemarno.
