President Jokowi: Political Functions Not Just Political Recruitment

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- President Joko Widodo stated that the presence of organizations and activators of political parties in the regions is important because the function of political parties is not only political recruitment, for the election of legislative and executive members.

"The function of political parties, among others, also includes the function of political communication, communicating with the community, articulating the interests of society and the function of political socialization, socializing the noble political values, political values ​​full of ethics and full of political civilization to the community," said President Jokowi .

Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media Secretariat of President Bey Machmudin in a written statement received in Jakarta on Saturday (14/4/2018) mentions President Jokowi delivered it in his speech while attending the 45th Birthday of the United Development Party (PPP) Party in Balairung University Training Center (UTC), Semarang City, Saturday.

As a 45-year-old Islamic political party, the President believes that PPP has contributed significantly in building political civilization in Indonesia. In addition to being a reservoir of the aspirations of Muslims, the PPP also keeps Indonesian politics into polite politics, civilized politics and upholds religious norms and social ethics.

"I believe that the leadership and PPP cadres can be the role model of the society in politics, to avoid and fight the false news, hoax, to keep optimism in the community and to always build harmony and unity throughout the country," continued the President.

At the beginning of his speech, the President did not forget to wish his birthday to PPP. The President also believes the organization and PPP consolidation has been very strong.

"I would like to convey the 45th birthday of the United Development Party, hopefully always get the blessings from Allah SWT, obtain the ease and success in this year election, and get success in legislative elections in 2019," he said.

The President also appreciated the PPP's birthday which was assembled with the Alim Ulama National Congress. According to him it is a good step for Indonesian political civilization.

"I also appreciate the theme of this PPP event which is Bersatu Membangun Indonesia," he said.

When closing his speech, the President also invited PPP remain optimistic in building a country as big as Indonesia. In addition, to realize the common goal is to achieve a fair and prosperous country, a large country with a strong economy.

"We must be optimistic that the ordeal exists, yes, that the obstacle exists, yes, we find a solution, no nation becomes great, becomes strong economy, its people are lazy, there is no such formula. Work hard, with effort and endeavor and also pray to Allah SWT," said Head of State.
