INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) stated that the Indonesian automotive industry is developing very fast. He said he was happy because the export of Indonesian automotive products increased mainly to neighboring countries.

"But we see, if the price is competitive I think the export will be able to get out of Asia" said President Jokowi after opening Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) in 2018, Semeru Room JI-Expo Kemayoran, Jakarta, Thursday (19/4 / 2018)

In addition to automotive products, according to President Jokowi, exports for automotive components decompose also increased very sharply, 13 times (fold) increase.

He believes the increase in exports will open up large jobs, especially for medium and small industries that produce automotive components, both the main components and the supporting components. "This will be very big and export orientation," he said.

While from the design side, according to the President, exports of automotive and automotive components are also highly developed, and from the rest of the interior is very nice. "It is also done by ourselves, almost 100% of car interior business done by our country," he said.

Furthermore, President Jokowi claimed to be pushing a custom such as motorcycles, which has a great opportunity also for export or domestic market is also great.

"This small, medium industry can also fit into this custom, which is handmade in different colors, knacks. I think it can also promise to be developed in the future, "said President Jokowi.
