Mitsubishi Immediate Prime Exports of Xpander Next Week

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta, PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) as the official distributor of Mitsubishi Motor Corporation vehicles in Indonesia will start the process of exporting their flagship Low MPV unit, Xpander diproduksk at PT Mitsubishi Motor Krama Yudha (MMKI) plant in Cikarang, Bekasi.
Philippines, will be the first export destination country Xpander whose production base is planned Mitsubishi will be placed in Indonesia.
President of MMKSI, Kyoya Kondo, said that his party will conduct the ceremonial ceremony of Xpander prime unit export on Wednesday (25/4) next week, planned to be witnessed by President Joko Widodo.
"Next week, the 25th, we will conduct the ceremony of the delivery of the first unit of Xpander to be exported to the Philippines," he said on the sidelines of the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2018 at JI Expo Kemayoran, Jakarta (21/4/2018).
However, Kondo has not revealed how many units will be shipped on Xpander's first delivery to the Philippines.
Looking at Mitsubishi's previous statement, from the production capacity of 80,000 units of Xpander a year at the plant, 60,000 units of which are ensured for the domestic market, while the rest exports.
Even so, with the high number of Xpander demand in the Indonesian market, of course Mitsubishi needs to make more calculations related to the amount possible for export.
Despite the undisclosed amount, Kondo ensures that it will continue to search for export destinations for Xpander.
"After the Philippines, we are also trying to increase the export destination of Xpander," he said.
Xpander is currently the leader of the MPW Low segment market in Indonesia with wholesales sales figures above 7,000 units per month, according to data from the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (Gaikindo).
