INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta, Vice Chairman of Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Johnny Darmawan assess the presence of automotive manufacturers from China to make the competition climate in the automotive market of the country is increasing.
However, he added, the presence of companies such as Wuling Motors and DongFeng Sokon (DFSK) need not worry about the Brand Holder Agents (APM) who had attended earlier.
"The success of the automotive industry is not only seen in the short term, for example, Hyunday cars that can be said to be new players, still compete with the old players," said Johnny in Jakarta (24/4/2018).
According to Johnny, expansions made by Chinese manufacturers are an expression of their target to go international as well as become a major global producer. Global data also shows that China's manufacturer is already a major player in the automotive field in several countries around the world.
"I am confident that this condition should not be overwhelmed by the national automotive industry, not only from the industry development, but also from their networking and after sales," he said.
He argues, with the entry of these two new players, society and government benefit. People are lucky because there are many choices. Meanwhile, for the government will be due to large investments.
