Unions Supported Prabowo Subianto in the 2019 Presidential Election

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - President of the Confederation of Trade Unions (KSPI) Said Iqbal said KSPI will declare support to the Chairman of the DPP Gerindra Prabowo Subianto to run in 2019 Presidential Election on the commemoration of International Labor Day 1 May 2018.
"On International Labor Day, the whole world will witness all Indonesian workers will declare Mr. Prabowo Subianto as a candidate promoted in the 2019 Presidential Election," he said at the National Seminar on "End of Corporate Greed Toward a Prosperous Country" held by KSPI in Building Joang 45, Jakarta , Sunday (29/4/2018)
KSPI parties want the president in the coming period to meet a number of demands such as proper remuneration, removal of outsourcing and repatriation of foreign workers from China.
Meanwhile, Prabowo praised the workers' support for running for him in the upcoming presidential election.
"You have decided to give me confidence to come forward as the next presidential candidate of the Republic of Indonesia in 2019. For me, winning the trust of the workers is a great honor; it is a very important support. This is a force for the struggle of life me, "he said.
Prabowo said whoever leads the Indonesian state in the future has a duty to protect the whole Indonesian people.
"The people of Indonesia must be safe should not worry about the future, not worry about work, and have a decent life," he told media crew.
According to him, the Indonesian state who aspired to the founders of Indonesia is a welfare state not a conglomeration state. Thus, all citizens of Indonesia must have a decent and prosperous life, which is not only enjoyed by certain groups or a handful of people.
"I will fight for the interests of the people and the nation of Indonesia," he said.
