President Jokowi Receives State Visit of Sultan Bolkiah

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - President Joko Widodo receives state visit of Sultan of Brunei Darussalam HM Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah at Bogor Palace, West Java, on Thursday (3/5/2018).
Sultan Bolkiah and entourage arrived at Bogor Palace at 10.30 am which was preceded by drum band Paspampres accompanied by equestrian troops and dressed royal soldiers from various regions of Indonesia.
The arrival of Sultan Bolkiah was immediately greeted by the President who was also accompanied by First Lady Iriana Jokowi in the front yard of Bogor Palace which was followed by the welcoming ceremony of statehood.
The national anthem of the two countries was singled out which was accompanied by 19 cannon booms.
After performing the inspection of the troops in the welcoming ceremony, the President and Sultan Bolkiah who accompanied his two wives entered the main building of Istana Bogor.
After filling in the guest book, President Jokowi and Sultan Bolkiah planted trees together in the backyard and continued casual conversation on the back veranda of the Palace (veranda talk).
Furthermore, the two leaders of this country continue the bilateral meeting between two delegations held in the meeting room of Bogor Palace.
"Welcome Sultan Bolkiah and the delegation in Bogor City, an honor for us to receive our Majesty's visit to Indonesia," he said at the opening of a bilateral meeting.
The President said the cooperation between Indonesia and Brunei has been running very well in all areas.
Sultan Bolkiah expressed his gratitude for his welcoming and very well received reception.
Sultan of Brunei admitted his visit to Indonesia as a return visit after President Jokowi attended the 50th anniversary of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Bertahta on October 6, 2017 ago.
"I believe this exchange of visits reflects the loyalty of friends and strengthens the cooperation that has been established so far," said Sultan Bolkiah.
