INDUSTRY.co.id - Bogor, the Government continues to work to improve welfare in the marine and fisheries sector by upholding the sovereignty of the sea and its sustainability.

After illegal vessels do not enter the Indonesian waters, fish can be caught by the fishermen as the number of fish in the Indonesian sea is growing.

This was conveyed by the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) Susi Pudjiastuti while accompanying President Joko Widodo to receive representatives of 350 fishermen from all over Indonesia at the Bogor Palace (8/5/2018) afternoon.

On the occasion, President Joko Widodo conveyed that this can continue to be enjoyed if necessary by changing fishing gear by shifting fishing gear from environmentally unfriendly to environmentally friendly.

Therefore. President Jokowi invites fishermen to replace fishing gear because the government just wants to empower the fishermen and keep the existence of fish in Indonesian waters.

Minister Susi hopes that this meeting can be a motivation for Indonesian fishermen to be more advanced and more productive in the future and get enlightenment for each fisherman.

"Hopefully the marine and fishery sector of Indonesia is more advanced in the future," said Susi.
