INDUSTRY co.id - Bogor - President Joko Widodo again denounced a US unilateral action plan regarding the transfer of the US embassy to Jerusalem.
"Indonesia strongly denounces this decision, this transfer decision violates various Security Council resolutions and the UN General Assembly," said the President when opening a meeting of trilateral scholars of Indonesia, Afghanistan and Pakistan at Istna Bogor, West Java, Friday (5/11/2018)
The Head of State urges the Security Council and the UN General Assembly to discuss the issue and take the next step.
"I also ask to ask other countries not to follow the transfer of their embassies to Jerusalem," said Jokowi.
According to Jokowi, this displacement also disrupted the peace process and even threatened the peace itself.
"We with the people of Indonesia will continue to struggle with the Palestinian people and Palestine is always there in every breath diplomacy of Indonesia," said the President.
On Friday will be the action of the 11 May Palestinian Defense Action (Action 115), which is a rally in response to the transfer of the Israeli capital to Jerusalem.
The demonstrators said the move was done illegally without international approval and was a unilateral act that was spearheaded by US President Donald Trump sparking controversy around the world, including Indonesia.
