PGN Builds Bridge Tasikardi Rp3,42 Billion

INDUSTRY.co.id - PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk (PGN) builds Kali Cibeureum Bridge in Desa Pasir Buyut and revitalizes Situ Tasikardi in Kramatwatu, Serang, Banten, with Rp3.42 billion funds.
Director of PGN Jobi Triananda Hasjim in a press release here on Wednesday (9/8/2017) said that his office also launched a number of programs to be run by the Village Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) Sabar Subur.
"For the three activities in Serang, we disburse funds Rp3, 42 billion," he said during the launch of the event in Serang, Banten.
BUMDES Sabar Subur is part of PGN-assisted village which was launched in July 2016 in Teluk Terate Village, Kramatwatu Sub-district, Serang District, around PGN's Bojonegara Gas Station.
Jobi said the three activities are proof of PGN's consistency as a state-owned natural gas to encourage village economic activities in line with government programs to realize prosperous village.
"We are very proud to be part of Serang City and involved in the development around it. We hope this program runs smoothly and spur the community to advance the village," he said as quoted by Antara.
Jobi explained, for this time, it launched three programs BUMDes worth Rp598 million.
The first program consists of institutional preparation consisting of workshop, office rent, office equipment procurement, social entrepreneurship training, business management, legality management, and comparative management study.
Secondly, the strengthening of BUMDes business unit includes labor services, agribusiness, and tent rental.
Third, PGN encourages BUMDes to conduct healthy village development programs, among others, to create healthy and clean residential environments, empowerment of posyandu, and the establishment of junk banks.
"We are grateful that the program has started to run like SME chips, duck breeders, and food stalls, and hopefully in the future grow other businesses that can improve the economy and make the community prosperous and self-reliant according to existing potential," he said.
Meanwhile, as part of its social responsibility, PGN built the Cibeureum Kali Bridge which is in poor condition.
Bridge along the 24 meters and four meters wide was previously only passable and unsafe people.
The construction of the bridge, which connects three districts of Kopo, Jawilan and Solear, commenced in November 2016 and was completed in May 2017 at a cost of Rp2.48 billion.
"Once built, the bridge can be crossed by residents and motor vehicles," he said.
To revitalize Situ Tasikardi, Jobi said the activities include repair of docks, mosques, toilets, walkways, and nature conservation in the form of bird releases, fish seed spreading, and tree planting.
The revitalization will be conducted from August to October 2017 at a cost of Rp349.4 million.
Through revitalization, according to him, the Situ Tasikardi as a cultural heritage keeps its sustainability and at the same time helps people improve their economy.
"Our efforts to continuously improve the national use of natural gas must be in line with the improvement of living standards in the vicinity of PGN's operational areas, we hope that with the encouragement we have provided, it can be a good energy for all Serang, Banten," he said.
