INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta (ANTARA News) - PT Indonesia Tourism Development (Persero) or Indonesia Tourism Development Company (ITDC) and PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk plans to build a 1,000-hectare area in Gabon.
"Yesterday, ITDC Development Director came to Gabon government and has ceremonial cooperation. We also have a concession of 1,000 hectares, "said Director of ITDC Abdulbar M Mansoer, some time ago.
He added that the interest Gabon government to build tourism area began when visiting Nusa Dua, Bali. Gabon's government wants ITDC to build a similar region in western Africa.
"They asked me to make it like Nusa Dua. Thus, we enter a new business, namely Destination Management, "he said.
Abdulbar continued, the tourism area will be named The Akanda managed by ITDC. Currently, ITDC is preparing its master development area to be presented to the local government.
Meanwhile, WIKA's Finance Director Steve Kosasih added that WIKA's involvement in this project is because Gabon has no construction and infrastructure company.
"WIKA as one of the SOEs has experience abroad, so very interested in this cooperation. Its location is located in the Capital and there is a beach. Just imagine the Lion King movie, "Steve said. (imq)
