Minister Rini Proud of PT INKA Continues to Develop Business

INDUSTRY.co.id -Banyuwangi- Still on a visit to East Java Province, after visiting coffee farmers in Jember, SOE Minister Rini Soemarno also visited the construction project of PT INKA (Persero) trainshop in Ketapang Village Village, Kalipuro District, Banyuwangi District.
PT INKA is currently working to increase its production capacity in order to support the development program of the national railway industry and to respond to the challenge of railway facilities from abroad.
The factory utilizing the 84 hectare / ha land is also a synergy between PT INKA and PTPN XII. The modern factory is expected to become the second railway assembly workshop after the workshop in Madiun.
Budi Noviantoro, President Director of PT INKA (Persero), said that the company is currently completing the licensing and design process for a modern plant which will be used to produce aluminum and stainless steel railway facilities. The phase 1 development process is planned to begin at the end of 2018 and can start operating by early 2020. The total investment from this project is Rp 1.6 trillion.
The proximity of the workshop location to Tanjung Wangi port which is managed by PT Pelindo III will be very supportive to the company in the process of delivering finished products by sea, both for export and for domestic needs outside Java.
PT INKA noted that the contribution of the company's export sales has increased in the last three years as reflected in the export sales contract value of Rp 850 billion in 2015 and increased to Rp 1.33 trillion in 2017. While the export destination countries are Bangladesh, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia and the Philippines.
In addition to supporting the business development of PT INKA, the establishment of this workshop is expected to contribute positively to the progress of the industry in Banyuwangi Regency and also the economy for the surrounding community and society in Banyuwangi Regency in general.

The construction of this factory is proof that the national railway industry can answer the challenge of railway needs from I will continue to monitor and ensure the implementation of the construction of this project, "said Minister Rini on the sidelines of his visit.
