Until June 2018, Wika Beton Records Total Contracts Reach Rp8, 45 Trillion

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - PT Wika Beton Tbk recorded total contracts to be handled (carry over) in the first six months of this year has reached Rp8, 45 trillion.

Corporate Secretary Yuherni Sisdwi said in his official statement that the amount consisted of new contracts and added with carry over from the previous year.

"This figure is comprised of a record of a new contract turnover of Rp3.13 trillion, plus a carry over from 2017 of around Rp5.32 trillion, which is higher than the previous year of Rp3.95 trillion or an increase of 34.68%," Yuherni said in the statement, Monday (16/7/2018).

He is optimistic Wika Beton will be able to get the target at the end of the year. Several major projects contributing to new contracts are still dominated by 65.03% in infrastructure projects, 26.32% in the energy sector and property, industry and mining contributing 4.72%, 3, 54%, and 0.39%.

"The projects include the Kijing-Mempawah pier, the Kunciran-Cengkareng expressway, the Marunda KBN pier, the Tambak Lorok PLTGU, the Tondano River Bridge, the Manado-Bitung toll, and others," he added.

Yuherni asserted, in accordance with the vision of Wika Beton, starting the second half of this year, the company will increasingly seriously work on the Southeast Asian market.

"Because we have experience working on projects abroad such as the East West Motorway project in Al-Jazair in 2011, the Gorgon project in Australia 2012, and the Comoro Bridge project in Timor Leste 2010-2012," he said.
