Asian Games Become Important Moments of Korean Peace

On that occasion, the President expressed his appreciation for the formation of the two Korean joint contingents at the XVIII Asian Games in 2018, which were held in Jakarta and Palembang, 18 August to 2 September.

"The Asian Games are an important moment that can continue to strengthen peace and friendship between South Korea and North Korea," the president said at the meeting as stated by the Deputy for Protocol, Press, Media and Information (BPMI) Presidential Secretariat (Setpres), Bey Mahmudin .

The President expressed Indonesia's hopes for positive developments that have taken place in the past, hopefully it can be followed up so that stability and peace on the Korean Peninsula can be created soon.

"Indonesia consistently continues to support peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula," said the President.

Seen to accompany the President on this occasion included Coordinating Minister PMK Puan Maharani, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, and Minister of State Secretary Pratikno.
