Make Lombok Momentum The Unity of Indonesia

INDUSTRY.co.id - North Lombok - Former Chairman of the Constitutional Court Mahfud MD said the earthquake that occurred in Lombok was expected to be a momentum to unite the nation.

It was said by Mahfud MD after visiting the earthquake victims and teaching and learning activities directly at the emergency school, Cupak Hamlet, Sigar Penjalin Village, Tanjung District, North Lombok Regency, Saturday (8/9/2018)

"We have two momentums that shows that we as a nation have a strong inner bond. That is the Asian Games and the earthquake disaster in Lombok," said Mahfud.

The member of the Steering Board of the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency stated that the unification in question was because the two momentums together united Indonesians who might have been separated because of political matters and differences.

At the Asian Games, said Mahfud, Indonesians united and supported Indonesia. Then in the Lombok disaster, all Indonesians also united to provide assistance.

"People all over Indonesia come here to help. It means that we still feel brothers and sisters as children of the nation. Our sense of humanity is growing well due to these two momentums," said Mahfud MD....
