Heinz ABC to Support Indonesia’s Elderly This Ramadan

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta – PT Heinz ABC Indonesia Heinz ABC, one of the leaders in the F&B industry in Indonesia, is officially launching its initiative for Ramadhan 2020, Gerakan Untuk Lansia di Bulan Ramadhan, to support the elderly during this unfortunate pandemic situation, as they are statistically more vulnerable and hence need all the nutrition and support. This initiative is a social collaboration with Alfamart, Alfamidi, and Foodbank of Indonesia.

ABC’s Gerakan Untuk Lansia di Bulan Ramadhan aims to support the elderly during this pandemic situation in Ramadhan moment. This also to spread the good deeds during Ramadhan 2020”, shared Steven Debrabandere, Managing Director of Kraft Heinz Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. Thursday (4/23/2020).
Moreover, Steven explained, through this initiative, Heinz ABC would like to invite fellow Indonesians to join the movement, by buying ABC products in Alfamart, and Alfamidi. With every purchase, consumers will help Heinz ABC donating IDR 1K towards this noble cause. This program already started from 16 April until 31 May 2020. Through Gerakan Untuk Lansia di Bulan Ramadhan, Heinz ABC will donate IDR 7.5 Billion for the elderly during this pandemic season.
“As the front liner that facing customers daily, it is very delightful for us to be part of Gerakan Untuk Lansia di Bulan Ramadhan that initiated by Heinz ABC, to support the elderly during this pandemic. Moreover, we also would like to share that our network, Alfamart and Alfa Midi are still open to serve the citizen to fulfill their daily needs. Therefore, we encourage people to avoid panic buying,” shared Ryan Alfons Kaloh, Marketing Director Alfamart.
The elderly is one of the focuses of the Foodbank of Indonesia. To disburse the donation that Indonesian made through their purchase of Heinz ABC products in Alfamart, Alfamidi, and Foodbank of Indonesia joins the movement to make sure that all the donation is delivering to the right parties.
“Through our channels and network, we will distribute all the donation that Indonesian made through the program Gerakan Untuk Lansia di Bulan Ramadhan to 8 areas in Java Island, DKI Jakarta, Bekasi, Tangerang, Bandung, Solo, DI Yogyakarta, Surabaya, and Pasuruan,” shared Hendro Utomo, Founder of FOI.
As one of the market leaders in the industry, Heinz ABC believes that during this pandemic season, we need to hand in hand together to support each other, especially the elderly.
“This is not only about they are the most susceptible to the virus of Covid-19, but with this initiative, Heinz ABC would like to ask Indonesian to help each other in their way. We’re in this together,” said Steven to close the conversation.
