Insurance Or Invesment?

INDUSTRY.co.id - How often do you get a call from a telemarketer, offering about life insurance combined with invesment? Whenever I got this kind of call, my mind and my soul want to reject the offer immidiately. The more I refuse the offering, the more intense they force me to accept the offering. My profile, who is adult man, quite young, still has long prospect in career, and get the full reimbursement for medicine and hosptial, does not really feel that insurance is an important thing. This condition is getting worse when they say that this insurance is not only protect but also we can get gain money from it, by the side invesment from this company. For me, it is like mixing between prevention and promotion in one place, thus it direct my mind to think that this does not make sense at all.
Promotion is a system that stimulate people to be more aggressive to purchase, for example : people eat protein and strength training to get muscle. In the finance sector, buying stocks is categorized as promotion action, because stocks has biggest risk and benefit compare to other finance instrument.
Prevention is a system that stimulate people to get more defensife, for example: people avoid fried food to get their body leaner. In the finance sector, buying government bond is categorized as prevention action, because it has lower risk and benefit compared to other finance instrument.
Insurance, where it actually management of risk, could be categorized as prevention action due to its preparation when something terrible happens. It is very strange when prevention action like insurance is mixed with promotion action, by saying that if you put your money in this insurance, it will grow certain percent in certain period. This is actually ambiguity. It is same like you offer Ferarri car to somebody, but saying that this car is very safety and the speed is limited only 60 kph to make sure that the driver and passenger could be safe. It does not make sense at all regarding the appearance of Ferarri is very agrresive.
It is better for the insurance company to only offer strictly with prevention thing. If that company want to offer the invesment, just say that this is purely invesment, thus it will relieve any ambiguity that arise before. For the long period of time, I always say to myself, why the telemarketer only offer the insurance, but not for invesment?
