President Jokowi Kicks Off E. Java Working Visit

INDUSTRY.co.id - President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Tuesday (29/4) started his working visit to East Java Province.
In that province, President Jokowi will meet with families of KRI Nanggala 402 submarine crew, attend rice harvest event, and visit quake-affected region.
President Jokowi and his entourage, including Speaker of the House of Representatives Puan Maharani, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, departed from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta, on Presidential Aircraft at 07.10 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB).
Upon his arrival at Juanda Air Force Base, Sidoarjo Regency, East Java, the President is slated to meet with representatives of families of KRI Nanggala 402 crew at the Base’s hangar.
For the record, 53 crew aboard the KRI Nanggala 402 submarine which contact was lost in waters north of the island of Bali on Wednesday, 21 April 2021 were declared dead.
Afterwards, the President will head to Abdul Rachman Saleh Air Force Base, Malang Regency, East Java to watch rice transplanting and harvesting process in Kanigoro Village, Pagelaran Sub-district, Malang Regency and have a discussion with local farmers.
Before returning to Jakarta, President Jokowi is also slated to visit quake-affected village of Majangtengah, Dampit Sub-district, Malang Regency to inspect post-earthquake trauma healing shelter, public kitchen, and evacuation shelter. (PRESIDENTIAL SECRETARIAT / AIT/TAR) (RAS/MUR)
