INDUSTRY.co.id - When inspecting the implementation of mass COVID-19 vaccination for business players at Grand Indonesia Mall, Jakarta, Monday (3/5), President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo once again reminded the public to keep wearing masks when doing their activities in order to prevent COVID-19 transmission.
“I’d like to continually urge all of us to always wear a face mask wherever we go. Do wear a face mask!” the President said.
Previously, the Head of State also reminded the public to remain vigilant in order to be prepared to deal with the risk of COVID-19 spread and transmission that still occurs.
“We must stay highly vigilant. Do not let our guard down. We cannot underestimate COVID-19,” he said, Sunday (2/5).
The curve of COVID-19 cases in the country has flattened lately since micro-scale public activity restrictions and mass vaccination programs were implemented. However, amid the positive improvement, the President reminded all parties not to be overconfident and euphoric as the improvement resulted from recent pandemic management measures does not indicate that the pandemic has been completely under control.
“All of us, including those in the red, orange, yellow, and green zones who have been and have not been vaccinated, must remain disciplined in observing health protocols, namely by wearing a mask, maintaining a safe distance, and washing hands,” he said.
For the record, President Jokowi has inspected the mass vaccination at Thamrin City shopping center prior to the inspection of vaccination held at Grand Indonesia Mall.
“This morning, I have seen and inspected the mass vaccination program held at Thamrin City and Grand Indonesia Mall so that all shopkeepers and business players in the shopping areas or malls can get vaccinated,” the President said in his press statement.
Through the implementation of the Government’s vaccination program, the President expressed his optimism that the program will contribute to the effort to slow the pace of the pandemic.
“We hope that the vaccination program can slow down, reduce, and curb the spread of COVID-19,” he said.
