INDUSTRY.co.id - President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has urged all stakeholders to contribute to forge and prepare excellent Indonesian human resources by collaborating to realize the Merdeka Belajar (Freedom to Learn) and Kampus Merdeka (Independent Campus) movement, the Government’s vehicle to accelerate the preparation of Indonesia’s top human resources.
“It is a talent boosting strategy that we must support. This program requires collaboration from us all, including universities, university students, industries, and everyone. Therefore, I urge everyone to open up, to collaborate,” he said during a discussion on Kampus Merdeka at the State Palace in Jakarta, also aired on the YouTube channel of Cabinet Secretariat, Tuesday (15/06).
One element that cannot be missed, according to the President, is the speed of program execution. For example, he added, curriculums in higher education institutions must be reviewed and adjusted quickly to adapt to the rapid development of science and technology.
Besides, the President said, the development of education programs in industries must be prioritized, followed by the development and improvement of national ecosystem.
“This is not only Minister of Education’s job. This is our job, especially the Government, industries, university leaders, and everyone, if we want to realize an Advanced Indonesia,” the President remarked.
