INDUSTRY.co.id - In a bid to achieve community immunity or herd immunity, the Government is set to boost vaccination, especially in areas with high public interaction and mobility.
“We want to carry out vaccination acceleration in areas with high public interaction and mobility, including train stations, bus stations, airports, and seaports. If the vaccination has not been immediately carried out there, COVID-19 will continue to spread,” President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo said in his remarks after inspecting mass COVID-19 vaccination at Bogor Train Station in the city of Bogor, West Java. (17/06/2021).
According to the President, vaccination at the train station was carried out as the area has high public interaction and mobility.
“We are all aware that Bogor is an agglomeration area, a buffer city of Capital Jakarta so it has high public interaction and mobility. Therefore, we want to prioritize commuter line or KRL Jabodetabek passengers to get vaccinated in order to protect them from COVID-19,” President Jokowi said.
The President also expressed hope that today’s vaccination will protect the people from COVID-19 and the spread of the virus can be curbed.
