President Jokowi Inspects Mass Vaccination for Public and People with Disabilities at Pakansari Stadium

INDUSTRY.co.id - President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Thursday (17/06) inspected mass vaccination at Pakansari Stadium in Cibinong sub-district, Bogor regency, West Java province.
The vaccination was intended for people at high risk from COVID-19 infection, people with disabilities, and tourism business players.
On the same occasion, the President also inspected mass vaccination carried out in several other locations in Bogor regency via teleconference.
“Today I, along with West Java Governor and Bogor Regent, inspected the vaccination carried out in Bogor regency (joined by) 10,000 (people). It was held in Pakansari Stadium as well as several hospitals and community health centers in Bogor regency,” he said during a virtual dialog with mass vaccination organizers.
During the dialog, the Head of State also asked the organizers to report the vaccination carried out in their respective location.
Based on the report, 759 people consisting of public service providers, educators, senior citizens, economic agents, and social workers have been registered for today’s mass vaccination at Permata Jonggol Hospital, while several health care workers have not been vaccinated.
In addition, Cimandala Community Health Center has set the target to inoculate 300 people per day, including people at high risk of infection and people with disabilities.
Meanwhile, EMC Sentul hospital has targeted to vaccinate 200 people per day and Citeureup Community Health Center has targeted 300 people.
Vaccination was also carried out in two other health care facilities. Karadenan Community Health Center has targeted to vaccinate 350 senior citizens, per-senior citizens, and educators, whereas Bina Husada Hospital has aimed to inoculate 300 public service providers.
Ending the dialogue, the Head of State ordered for the mass vaccination to continue to be carried out and accelerated so that herd immunity can be immediately achieved and the virus transmission rate can be slowed down.
“Do continue to work hard to speed up the vaccination program as quickly as possible. Our target is at least by August, Bogor regency has achieved herd immunity. We hope with the rate of vaccination, to achieve herd immunity, we can slow down the transmission of COVID-19 and it can disappear from our country,” he remarked.
