INDUSTRY.co.id - In a bid to tackle the surge in COVID-19 cases in Indonesia, the Government has announced it will make use of Pasar Rumput low-cost apartment in South Jakarta as an isolation place for COVID-19 patients.

“This evening, I, along with Minister of Public Works and Public Housing and Head of the Indonesian National Board for Disaster Management (BNPB), inspected Pasar Rumput low-cost apartment to check its readiness as an isolation place for COVID-19 patients with mild symptoms and no symptoms,” President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo said, Wednesday (07/07/2021).

The apartment itself consists of three towers, with the first tower ready for use with a capacity of 2,060 beds, and the second and the third tower will be ready in 2-3 days. Once everything is read, the total capacity will reach 5,950 beds.
