11 Thousand GESITS Electric Motors Ready To Be Produced Upcoming 2018

INDUSTRY.co.id - Bogor, Garansindo Group, Institute of Ten November (ITS) and PT Wijaya Karya (Wika) Industry and Construction officially signed a partnership to produce, Garansindo Electric Scooter ITS (GESITS) in Cileungsi, Bogor, West Java (18/8/2017).
GESITS motorcycle plan will begin to be produced in 2018 at Asembly plant electric motorcycle GESITS Wika industrial complex. And targeted, electric motor work of this nation's children can be produced as many as 11 thousand units per year. GESITS assembly plant itself will occupy one of the buildings in the integrated industrial area of PT WIKA (Persero) which has a total area of 30 hectares.
Wika Industry and Construction Director Fery Hendriyanto said PT WIKA is preparing industrial facilities and equipment to support the perfect GESITS production process, in line with what Indonesian students have created in the country. Then Garansindo Group acts as a distributor of GESITS.
"After being produced by Wika Industri Dan Konstruksi, Gesits is then marketed by Garansindo This is a great collaboration between universities for research, product industrialization, and marketing that are all nation-wide," Fery said in Cileungsi, Bogor, West Java (18/8 / 2017).
In the initial stage, PT WIKA Industri and Construction factory is able to produce 50,000 units of GESITS per year. In the future, production capacity will be developed to reach 100,000 units per year.
Meanwhile, CEO of Garansindo Group, Muhammad AL Abdullah disclosed, he chose Wika because Wika as a red plate company or State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) that has been trusted to produce various components of Japanese motorcycles.
"We want this project is not just a concept, but must be ready to enter the production line, why we choose Wika, so far PT Wika has been trusted to produce some components of Japanese motor manufacturer," he said.
On the other hand, Head of BPSDM of Transportation, Joko Sasono representing the Minister of Transportation, said that if GESITS electric motorcycles have been produced and sold, it is expected that the price can be cheap but also not poor.
According to him, the government and the public continue to make efforts to reduce air pollution through the strengthening of regulation and public awareness so that air pollution from motorcycles can be reduced, one of them by producing their own electric motorcycle by the nation's children, GESITS.
"One of the steps we have taken to fully support GESITS motorcycle production locally is, of course, also related to the Perpres that regulates the electricity supply business plan, one of the real work is to answer the needs of environmentally friendly transportation sector," Joko concluded.
