The award was given thanks to the construction of the Correctio project which is The Next Silicon Valley in Indonesia. Then in 2011, he founded President University which is the first university in Indonesia to use English as the language of instruction.
Darmono said: “Property is the best business for economic growth. And since Indonesia has 4,000 times more land than Singapore, this is a great opportunity for everyone in the sector to help the government, grow the economy, and create jobs through property development.
And I salute PropertyGuru for organizing regular events like this to encourage dynamic young people who go into the property business and also people who are already in the business.”
As a prominent leader who attaches great importance to the development of the country, Darmono seeks to maintain strong ties with other countries by being actively involved in the Indonesia-Australia Business Council (IABC), Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), and the Indonesia -Taiwan Business Council (ITBC). His passion is also evident in the books he has written throughout his career, most notably his latest book entitled, “Bringing Civilizations Together”.
