INDUSTRY.co.id - Mrs. Iriana Joko Widodo held a tea party with ASEAN leaders' companions on the 2nd floor of Puncak Waringin, West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province (NTT), on Wednesday (10/05/2023) morning.

In her remarks, Mrs. Iriana appreciated the presence of ASEAN leaders' assistants in Labuan Bajo. Mrs. Iriana believes that ASEAN leaders' assistants can feel the natural beauty of Labuan Bajo.

"I can feel that all mothers can be happy to see what is in Labuan Bajo," said Ibu Iriana.

Mrs. Iriana explained that Labuan Bajo is the gateway to Komodo Island, which is the habitat of Indonesia's native animals, the Komodo dragon. Mrs. Iriana said that the Komodo dragon is a large monitor lizard species that can weigh up to 160 kilograms and up to 3 meters long.

"It's also very dangerous if you're close, but if you want you can see later," said Ibu Iriana.

In addition, Mrs. Iriana also explained the use of Puncak Waringin which was used as the venue for the implementation of the companion program for the 42nd ASEAN Summit. According to Ibu Iriana, Puncak Waringin will serve as a creative hub for creative economy actors in NTT.

"This place will be developed as a creative hub, a center for culture-based creative economic activities," said Ibu Iriana.

Ibu Iriana also hopes that the ASEAN leaders' assistants can enjoy their time in Labuan Bajo. It is also hoped that the assistants to ASEAN leaders will be able to carry out their roles as well as possible in maintaining relations between ASEAN peoples and the advancement of women in ASEAN.

"While enjoying this in Labuan Bajo, I hope that all of us ladies present will be at the forefront of efforts to strengthen relations between ASEAN peoples, for the advancement of women in ASEAN," said Mrs. Iriana. (BPMI SETPRES/AIT)
