INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The existence of the latest low cost hedging rules is a good signal for companies that have debts or loans in the form of foreign currency. The hedging rules with call swap option products have a positive sentiment to the business world as well.

"Update, so it is accurate that it attracts real sector actors exposed to foreign exchange, a cheaper cost than previous instruments," said Pefindo Mega Nugroho analyst in Jakarta, Tuesday (8/22/2017).

Bank Indonsia (BI) socializes Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) for hedging call swap options to State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs). Initially generated hedging US $ 30 million from PLN to three state-owned banks.

Although the value of hedging is small, it has a positive impact on Good Corporate Governance (GCG) of both state-owned and non-state enterprises.

"The value of hedging is fairly small, the retail side of implementation for SOEs, can comfortably apply hedging, small value. But good signal. For large hedging takes time," he said.

Furthermore, especially for SOEs that are vulnerable to GCG, he continued, the Ministry of SOEs can create derivative rules that facilitate the application of hedging this product.

"Ministry of SOEs, make guidline more assertive, comprehensive, SOE hedging is seen what so a risk. It is intensified derivative rules," he explained.
