ESSA Secures Gas Contract Extension for LPG Refinery

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta, 25 September 2023 – PT Surya Esa Perkasa Tbk. (ESSA: IJ), a publicly listed company engaged in the Energy and Chemical sectors through its LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) refinery and Ammonia plant today (22/9) announced the extension of its gas contract with PT Pertamina EP, ensuring a continued and reliable source of energy & feedstock for the LPG refinery operations.
This Contract extension reaffirms ESSA’s commitment to stable operations and manufacturing excellence.
The gas contract extension was signed on 20 September 2023 during the Indonesia Upstream Oil & Gas 2023 (IOG) International Convention at the Bali Convention Center, Nusa Dua, Bali, Indonesia. The Company was represented by Mr. Isenta Hioe as Director, and PT Pertamina EP was represented by Mr. Chalid Said Salim as Director 1 of PT Pertamina EP.
The gas contract extension until 31 December 2027, secures a reliable supply of natural gas to ongoing LPG refinery operations which is critical for reducing Indonesia’s dependence on energy imports. Mr. Vinod Laroya, CEO of ESSA, stated.
