President Jokowi Starts Working Visit to W. Sumatra

INDUSTRY.co.id - President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo conducted a working visit to West Sumatra province on Wednesday (10/25). President and the entourage arrived at the Minangkabau International Airport, Padang Pariaman regency, at around 12.11 western Indonesian time.
At the airport, President Jokowi was welcomed by the Governor of West Sumatra Mahyeldi Asharullah, Speaker of West Sumatra Regional House of Representatives Supardi, Commander of Military Regional I/Bukit Barisan Major General Mochammad Hasan Hasibuan, and Chief of West Sumatra Regional Police Inspector General Pol. Suharyono. The President then switched planes to take off to Mentawai Airport in Mentawai Islands regency.
After arriving at Mentawai airport, President Jokowi is slated to review the airport facilities and inaugurate the Mentawai Airport.
He then will visit Ibu traditional market in Mentawai Islands regency to hand over a number of social assistances to the traders.
After that, President Jokowi will return to the Minangkabau International Airport and head to State Vocational High School Number 5 in Padang to inspect the facilities and the teaching and learning activities.
The President then will head to East Rawang’s State Logistics Company warehouse to inspect rice supply, followed by a distribution of rice assistance to the beneficiary families.
After the event, President Jokowi will leave for South Sumatra province and spend the night there. (BPMI SETPRES/AIT) (RKW/EST)
