"The Beauty of Indonesia" Photo Exhibition Commemorates 75 Years of Diplomatic Relations
INDUSTRY.co.id - Ankara, March 15, 2025 – The photo exhibition “The Beauty of Indonesia” was held through a collaboration between the Federation of Indonesian Photography Associations (FPSI), the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta (ISI Jogja), the Turkish Federation of Photography Arts (TFSF), and the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Ankara (KBRI Ankara), with support from the Indonesian Ministry of Creative Economy. This event is part of the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Turkey in 2025.
The opening of the “The Beauty of Indonesia” photo exhibition took place on Saturday (March 25) at the TFSF Gallery in Ankara. In his opening remarks, the Indonesian Ambassador to Turkey, Achmad Rizal Purnama, emphasized that art has the power to strengthen cultural ties and deepen mutual understanding between the people of Indonesia and Turkey. Ambassador Rizal further highlighted the role of this exhibition as a cultural bridge that strengthens the friendship between the two countries, following the success of the previous exhibition, "The Beauty of Türkiye," which was held in Indonesia last January.
The event was attended by ambassadors and foreign diplomats, representatives of the Turkish government, photography enthusiasts, and the general public, with over 200 visitors. The “The Beauty of Indonesia” photo exhibition is open to the public until March 30, 2025.
The exhibition features 68 selected photographs capturing the beauty of Indonesia from various aspects, ranging from its natural beauty, cultural richness, to the diverse lives of its people.
More than just a photography exhibition, the event also serves as a symbol of the values of diversity, unity, and tolerance, which are highly cherished by both Indonesia and Turkey. Through art, both countries reaffirm their commitment to continue strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing people-to-people contacts.
