PT Jasa Marga Change Jagorawi Toll Transaction

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- PT Jasa Marga Tbk changed the toll transaction system of Jakarta, Bogor and Ciawi (Jagorawi) starting September 8th by eliminating Toll Gate (GT) of Cimanggis Utama and Cibubur Utama, and this has an impact on the long-distance and close tariff changes for group one to Rp6.500.

"Starting on September 8th, GT Cibubur Utama and Cimanggis will be abandoned and the tariff is far close to the one group so it is Rp6,500," said Head of BPJT of PUPR Ministry Herry Trisaputra Zuna in a press conference in Jakarta on Tuesday (5/9/2017)

Present at the press conference, President Director of PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk, Desi Arryani, Operations Director II of Jasa Marga Subakti Syukur and Head of Public Communication Bureau Ministry of PUPR Endra S. Atmadwijaja.

Herry explained starting at 00.00 WIB on 8 September payment of toll in Jagorawi apply from open transaction system and closed to open system.

"The users of Jakarta's direction from Ciawi pay when they want to go (on ramp) and user direction Bogor pay when going out (off ramp)," he said.

"In addition to group I of Rp6500, also class II Rp9.500, Group III Rp13 thousand, Group IV Rp16 thousand and class V Rp19.500," he said.

To speed up the process of payment transactions on toll roads, Desi said, he called on toll road users to use electronic money and Jagorawi Toll Road, can receive "e-Toll" and "e-Money" (Bank Mandiri), "Brizzi" (BRI), "TapCash" (BNI) and "Blink" (BTN) on all toll gates.

"This change is expected to break down the density of the Jagorawi Toll Road as the density nodes in GT Cimanggis Utama and GT Cibubur Utama are eliminated so that traffic is distributed at some point," Desi said.

On that occasion, Herry TZ confirmed that the integration measures similar to the Jakarta-Tangerang and Jagorawi toll roads will be implemented also on several sections such as JORR tolls and Semarang tolls that have been five times the transaction.
