BI Ensures Credit Growth Staying One Digit

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- This year's credit growth is ensured below double digits. The fixed loan growth range is 8-10% which is the result of revision from 10-12% until the end of the year.
Dody Budi Waluyo, Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia acknowledged that credit is weakening due to lower credit demand due to slowing economic slump.
"Bank baseball and merta credit, but whether there demannya baseball at this time," he said in Jakarta, Friday (16/09/2017).
According to Dody, Non Performing Loan (NPL) or the ratio of bad debts of banks to be the prudential of banking is in credit disbursement.
On average, the banking NPL industry, he said at 3% position, the position is far from safe. The reason for the provision of the upper limit of NPL is 5%.
"The industry's NPL is still low at 3% to date, supported by economic growth until the end of the year 5.1% to 5.2%," he said.
