INDUSTRY.co.id - Bojonegoro- ExxonMobil Cepu Limited (EMCL) is optimistic that the target of Banyuurip Blok Cepu field oil production in Bojonegoro Regency, East Java, which is set at an average of 201,600 barrels per day by 2017 can be achieved.
"We are optimistic that the production target set by the Government will increase to an average of 201,600 thousand barrels per day can be achieved in 2017," said Vice President of Public and Government Affairs of ExxonMobil Indonesia, Erwin Maryoto in Bojonegoro, Friday (15/09/2017)
Previously, he continued, the target production of Banyuurip oil field Block Cepu in District Gayam, set an average below 200 thousand barrels per day.
"I do not remember the exact target, but the initial target of Cepu Block oil production is below 200 thousand barrels per day," he added.
However, according to him, the production of Banyuurip Block Cepu field oil which previously only averaged 185 thousand barrels per day should be increased to an average above 200 thousand barrels per day since June.
Although production at the beginning is still below 200 thousand barrels, he said, the production target set at 201,600 barrels a day could be achieved, since since June Cepu Block field production has always been above 200 thousand barrels per day.
"Now the production is always above 200 thousand barrels per day," he asserted.
The effort to increase the production of Cepu Block field oil, he said, without having to add equipment whose capacity only to produce about 185 thousand barrels per day.
"After going through the trial it turned out that the increase in production to above 200 thousand barrels per day there is no problem," he said as quoted by Antara.
Although, he said, Banyuurip Block Cepu field production does not affect the amount of flare gas burning.
"The amount of flare gas burning remains the same as before," he said.
He added that US Ambassador Joseph R. Donovan Jr., today reviewed the Banyuurip Blok Cepu field in Gayam District, and also visited the Learning Activities Center (PKB) built on the initiative of ExxonMobil Cepu Limited (EMCL).
