INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Vice President Jusuf Kalla warned if there are members of the TNI, Police and civil servants who want to practice politics then they have to get out of the institution.

"Politics is indeed a bit biased also, civil servants may choose but if to be elected must come out first. So also the TNI may be elected but must come out first," he said in Jakarta, Wednesday (4/10/2017)

The Vice President cited the example of Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono who resigned from the TNI to advance in the election of the governor of DKI Jakarta in April 2017.

"If you want to practice politics, go out first like Agus, that's good," said the Vice President.

Previously, when sowing flowers in the waters of the Sunda Strait in the rehearsal of the 72nd anniversary of TNI in Cilegon, Banten, Tuesday (3/10) TNI Commander General Gatot Nurmantyo said he as a commander also politics, but not practical politics but state politics.

The country's policy is a task carried out in accordance with the constitution so that the TNI remains neutral in practical politics.

He added that TNI has been proven for 72 years to carry out its duties for the benefit of Indonesia and the people.

"Proven for 72 years, the TNI is able to carry out its duties for the sake of the whole blood of unity and unity together with the people," said the four-star general.
