BI Stops Paytren Yusuf Mansur, This is the Reason!

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Bank Indonesia (BI) confirmed that Paytren's electronic wallet belonging to Ustadz Yusuf Mansyur was suspended. This electronic payment tool cannot operate until BI gives permission.

Director of Program Elektronifikasi Department of Policy and Supervision of Payment System BI, Pungky Purnomo Wibowo said the freezing step is due to the regulator to ensure the protection of customers.

"BI is very focused on system security and therefore we really make sure of this," Punky said recently.

According to Punky, to get permission, new players’ electronic money including Paytren must meet as many as 14 requirements set BI. After all requirements are met, BI will approve the application for permission after 45 business days.

In addition to Paytren recorded BI also freezes while some electronic money platform owned by several e-commerce such as Tokopedia, Bukalapak, and Shopee.
