INDUSTRY.co.id - Sampang - The Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) of Sampang, East Java forbids the hajj candidate from the region to bring an azimate or talisman to the Holy Land of Mecca, because it will make it difficult for them during the inspection at the airport.
"This is based on experience during the previous Hajj season so should avoid bringing azimuth if you want to perform the pilgrimage to the Holy Land of Mecca," said Kasi Haji and Umrah Kemenag Sampang Syamsuri in Sampang on Saturday.
Azimat is an article (writing) that is considered to have a miracle and can protect the owner, used as an antidote to disease and so forth.
Sometimes Azimat is also believed to protect the owner of various negative efforts by people, including immune to sharp weapons.
Some Muslims in Madura Island, East Java, including Sampang District, believe in the use of this azimate, so that during the pilgrim season, there has been a prospective pilgrim from Madura who brought the azimat.
"This year, there is no need to bring such anatomy, believe that Allah is the Supreme Patron," said Syamsuri.
Islamic groups who believe in the use of the azimate are generally from traditional circles, while rational Islamic groups such as Muhammadiyah, Al-Irsyad and Hidayatullah are not.
In Kabupaten Sampang, the majority of Muslims are traditional adherents, so many of them have confidence in objects that are considered to have the ability to protect the owner.
Kasi Haji and Umrah Kemenag Sampang Syamsuri said the azimat was banned by the Government of Saudi Arabia because it is considered shirk.
Therefore, it was submitted to the prospective pilgrims in the region so that the prohibition of carrying the azimat is noticed by all would-be pilgrims.
"If they are forced to bring the azimat, then it will be in direct contact with the Government of Saudi Arabia," said Syamsuri.
In addition, other types of goods that are also strictly forbidden to carry, including sharp weapons, liquids such as soy sauce and cooking oil, including cigarettes are also limited in number.
"Usually there are workers who work in Saudi Arabia that the message to be brought celurit. That do not happen, because it will be fatal for the prospective hajj itself later," said Syamsuri explained.
If there is a prospective pilgrim who was found carrying dangerous items that would have confiscated officers at Haj Sukolilo Dormitory Surabaya and will not be returned to the owner, but will be immediately destroyed.
