INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- Badan Amil Zakat Nasional and AIA Indonesia's insurance company promote healthy lifestyles for children on a regular basis through AIA Kids Care.
"We are committed to helping people live longer, healthier and better, and we also believe that healthy lifestyle practices are very good starting from an early age," said Chief Marketing Officer of PT AIA Financial Lim Chet Ming through his written statement in Jakarta on Saturday / 7/2017)
He said the program encourages elementary school students to recognize the importance of a healthy lifestyle by maintaining a healthy body and being active in exercising and maintaining a healthy school environment.
Healthy live campaign, he said, held gradually with the peak of the event held at SD Negeri 01 Bendungan Hilir South Jakarta, Saturday. The targets of the program are 1,100 students from two elementary schools namely SD Negeri 01 and SD Negeri 05 Bendungan Hilir, Jakarta.
The activities consisted of oral and dental examinations, free glasses distribution for students in need, fogging and sanitation and the distribution of school health equipment facilities.
The school students, he said, also got soccer training from a football team that contains AIA employees. In addition, as many as 20 little doctors will also be appointed health ambassadors at his school.
Director of Coordination of National Education, Training, and Renewal of Baznas M Nasir Tajang said it was deploying the health team from Rumah Sehat Baznas (RSB) Jakarta to handle the health problems of the school children mentioned above. Healthy life campaign is packed with various entertainments such as fairy tale, Betawi art and present young Indonesian artist.
He said the program from Baznas-AIA Indonesia is in line with the RSB-initiated "Children's School" program. In Jakarta, Rumah Sehat has had dozens of health cadres in various elementary schools.
"They are educated to promote healthy living spirit to their friends, which is also owned by RSB in other cities such as Makassar, South Sulawesi which has been educating hundreds of elementary school students to become a doctor," he said.
Nasir said physical health is the main thing for students to spur achievements and contribute to the nation's development.
"Through this partnership program, students are awakened to their awareness of a healthy environment from an early age, and these students are also expected to transmit healthy and clean living behaviors to their families," he said.
