PLN Builds SKTT 150 KV Cikupa-Curug Tangerang

INDUSTRY.co.id - Tangerang - PT PLN (Persero) builds a 150kV high voltage cable line of Cikupa-Curug along 19 kilometers as an effort to improve the quality of electricity especially in Tangerang, Banten.

"This project is very strategic because it is the beginning of a major project of PLN and has been waiting to provide service to customers so that the electricity is no longer dead-alive," said West Java Regional Director PT PLN Haryanto WS media crew after the ceremony and prayer project in Tengerang, Banten, Tuesday (7/11/2017)

According to Haryanto, the project is also part of the construction of a 500 kV high-voltage overhead line (SUTET) system of Balaraja-Durikosambi, 150 kV high-voltage cable channel (CECupa-Curug) has a role to evacuate power plant on the west side of Java to the Jakarta and Banten systems as an effort to strengthen the electrical system in the two areas.

The development is to distribute electrical energy from Cikupa Substation to Pondu Induk Curug in order to improve the quality, reliability and flexibility of operation and supply of electricity to consumers by reconfiguring single pi into double pi for power supply to the Curug Mastering Substation.

It said the project uses a double-circuit system with a nominal voltage of 150 kV and also uses a 2x1000 mm2 XLPE CU ground cable with a total capacity of 815 Amp per circuit equivalent to 242 mW.

"With this development is expected to anticipate the increase in electricity demand in Tangerang and increase the electrification ratio in Banten," he said.

This project, he said, is a form of West Java Regional PLN in improving the quality and quantity of electricity infrastructure especially in Tangerang.

PLN, he said, currently continues to accelerate the completion of a number of electrical projects in various regions in order to be completed right wakru so soon can be enjoyed by the community.

Haryanto also reminded that this project can be completed on time so as not to disrupt the traffic around the project, given the passing of many vehicles and is a strategic road.
