KPK Sets Setya Novanto as Suspect Again

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The KPK again appoints the Chairman of the House of Representatives Setya Novanto as a suspect in the case of alleged corruption of electronic ID card (KTP-E).
"Commission issued an investigation order on October 31, 2017 in the name of the suspect SN (Setya Novanto), member of Parliament," said KPK deputy chairman Saut Situmorang in a press conference at the KPK building in Jakarta, Friday (10/11/2017)
Saut said that the KPK has studied carefully the pretrial rulings that were decided on September 29, 2017 as well as related legal rules.
For that reason, the KPK on 5 October 2017 conducted a new investigation for the development of the KTP-e case and has requested information from a number of parties and collected relevant evidence.
"The investigation process has been submitted inquiries to the brothers SN 2 times on 13 and October 18, 2017, but is concerned is absent by reason of any task execution official. After investigation found preliminary evidence enough then leadership of the Commission with the team of investigators, investigators and the prosecutor held a case degree in late October 2017," Saut added.
Setya Novanto as a member of the House of Representatives 2009-2014 period together with Anang Sugiana Sudihardjono, alias Andi Andi Narogong Augustine, Irman as Director General of Population and Civil Registration MOHA and Sugiharto as Officer Commitment (KDP) and the Director General of Ministry of Internal Affairs dept comrades suspected with the intention of enriching himself or another person or koporasi, abusing the authority of opportunity or means available to him because of the position or positions that allegedly resulted in losses to the state on the country's economy at least 2.3 trillion from the value of the procurement package around Rp5.9 trillion in the procurement package implementation of KTP-e 2011-2012 Kemendagri.
SN is suspected of article 2 paragraphs 1 subsider article 3 of Law no. 31 of 1999 on the Eradication of Corruption as amended by Law no. 20 of 2001 on amendment to Law no. 31 of 1999 on the Eradication of Corruption jo article 55 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code on behalf of the suspect.
As the fulfillment of the rights of suspects, the Commission delivered a letter dated 3 November 2017 Notice regarding Commencement of Investigation to SN at a house in Jalan Wijaya XIII Melawai Kebayoran Baru on Friday afternoon, 3 November 2017.
"KPK hopes all parties can support efforts to eradicate corruption to ensure Indonesia is better for our children and grandchildren," added Saut.
